Making headlines all over the world, the iRobot Corporation is best known for its unique invention of robots for business, personal, and military use. The company, based in Burlington, Massachusetts, is most famous for having invented the Roomba (an autonomous vacuum cleaner) and the Scooba (a cleaning robot).

Helen Greiner, Rodney Brooks, and Colin Angle founded the company in 1991 after working in MIT's artificial intelligence lab. They quickly began adding more robots to their line, including ones that are currently used by bomb squads and SWAT teams.

iRobot has also comes out with Dirt Dog, a workshop robot that picks up small objects like bolts, nuts, and dirt, which is perfect for use on all types of flooring. It is anyone's guess what highly-anticipated products are up iRobot's sleeve in the future.
