Waterman - available at 3 stores *
Waterman was created in 1883 by Lewis Edson Waterman after he lost an important contract because of a temperamental pen. He sought forth to create the forefather of the modern fountain pen and founded the Ideal Pen Company. Five years later, he renamed it as the L.E. Waterman Company. Today, Waterman is one of the largest writing instrument manufacturers in the world.
The company boasts a prestigious product line of elegant pens, coming in a variety of brilliant colors and designs. They have classic pens and a specialty division of pens for women, as well as refills. Waterman pens are known for their extraordinary level of writing performance. In fact, the Treaty of Versailles was signed using a solid gold Waterman pen.
In 2001, Waterman joined a division of Newell Rubbermaid called Sanford, an international leader in the writing instrument and art supplies industries.
