The company's first products became popular in the mid 50s, after founder Walter Sporn collaborated with numerous stylists and manufacturers. The affordable nylon bristle brushes were an exciting addition to the industry, which was plagued with either expensive brushes or those of very poor quality. Soon after, the Spornette added ceramics, combs, ionics, stylers and a variety of other brushes to the roster.

Spornette International was incorporated in 1961 and continues to pave the way for the professional beauty market with its innovative new products each year.
