Dive into a mini world of fun with Polly, Lea, Shani, Lila and friends. In 1983, Chris Wiggs created the first Polly Pocket for his daughter using a powder compact. Inside of the compact was the magical world, beautifully set for Polly to explore.
In 1989, Polly Pocket hit toy store shelves after being licensed by Bluebird Toys. Over ten years later the brand was bought by Mattel, manufacturers of Barbie. The new Polly World featured the same characters, only larger.The cast members are now made 3 3/4 inches tall- much larger than the original ones. Polly and her friends also have bendable limbs and removable clothing for dress-up. Scenes include theme parks, discos, limousines and much more.
