Kyocera - available at 18 stores *
Kyocera is one of Japan's leading electronics corporations. Proud of a rich history stretching back to 1959, Kyoto-based Kyocera made it's name on imaging products and printers in particular, but has recently branched out significantly.
Kyocera acquired the Yashica brand and manufactured a complete range of high-end digital cameras. The company ceased production of photographic equipment in 2005 and turned to wireless telephony, acquiring the QAULCOMM brand.
Additionally, Kyocera is acclaimed for producing a highly collectible series of top-quality audio devices in the 1980s. The components incorporated ceramic elements, which also form the basis for the very successful line of Kyocera kitchen knives.
