Greyhound Bus Travel - available at 1 store *
With 16, 000 daily departures across North America to over 3100 destinations, it's clear to see that Greyhound is the largest bus network in the continent. It provides safe and affordable transportation to approximately 22 million people annually.
Nicknamed Greyhound because of the first sleek grey buses, the company actually began in 1914 when Carl Wickman began transporting miners to and from work for 15 cents a ride. Wickman kept merging with other companies and expanding until Greyhound became the huge national corporation that it is today.
Bus travel is popular in North America because it is significantly cheaper than traveling by air or rail, and it allows the passenger to view the scenery along their journey. Greyhound is currently working on transforming its network into a simpler network of routes to better serve their valued customers.
