Wayne Gregory started his backpack business in 1977. Producing bags in the back room of his retail store in San Diego, customers would stop in to chat with him and give him their ideas, many of which were integrated into his product lines.

Over the past years, the company has grown substantially and expanded into a second facility. Wayne Gregory is still the principal designer, but now he is blessed with a talented team of designers and engineers to help his ideas come to life. Gregory Mountain Products is dedicated to the sport and lifestyle of mountain climbing, adventure racing and backpacking, and continues to bring consumers the ultimate in ergonomic, innovative mountaineering equipment.
