The Good Year Tire and Rubber Company was incorporated in 1898 when bicycles were booming and the automobile was the most important invention around. In 1916, they became the world's largest tire company and were named the world's largest rubber company 10 years later.
Ohio-based Good Year currently offers reliable tires for cars, vans, light trucks, sport utility vehicles, ATV and trailers and RVs. They also have off road, racing and aviation tires on the docket. You can spot Good Year products by finding their winged-foot trademark.
The company earned its first $1-billion-a-year milestone after 53 years and has regularly brought in multitudes of that denomination since. Their slogan "More people ride on Goodyear tires than on any other kind" holds true.
