Fred Hayman debuted his fragrance line in 1989 with 273 for men and women. Since then, he has released 273 Red, 273 Indigo, Hollywood, Hollywood Star, Touch and Touch with Love.

Decades ago, Hayman took over ownership of Giorgio Beverly Hills boutique and infused New York and European design into its handbags. The yellow-and-white-striped awning, plastered on boxes and bags, became infamous. The store also inspired numerous Giorgio fragrance lines, including Red, G, Ocean Dream, So You and Wings. Released in 1981, his signature fragrance, Giorgio, was once banned by a restaurant in New York for being too heady.

In the late 90s, Hayman sold the store to Avon, but soon bought it back and renamed it Fred Hayman Beverly Hills. The shop is very exclusive and draws celebrity clientele. Hayman was also the fashion coordinator for the Academy Awards for 14 years.
