First Air - available at 1 store *

First Air is a small regional airline that services a vast expanse of the Canadian North. The 28 destinations that First Air flies to are mainly located in the newest province of Nunavut, although there are flights available to cities like Edmonton and Winnipeg.

Based in Carp, near Ottawa, First Air maintains a fleet of 23 aircraft. The fleet is unique among world airlines in that it contains a Hercules cargo plane and an Avro 748. The company was founded in 1946 as Bradley Air Services, and began scheduled runs as First Air in 1973.

First Air is wholly owned by the Inuit people of Northern Quebec and provides a vital link between the north and south of that and other provinces. The airline is the only one to service many of the airports on the far north of Canada.
