The year is 1969 the place is Japan. If the thought of building Flamenco guitars doesn't immediately comes to mind, it should. It was then and there that the Fernandes company began doing just that. As the company's success grew, so did their product line, expanding to include acoustic and electric guitars, as well as basses and amplifiers.

In 1992, Fernandes relocated to California. By this time, the company had established a reputation for quality instruments as affordable prices. Unlike the other manufacturers, Fernandes catered to the budding guitarist, although the range included innovative models that seasoned pros embraced as well.

Fernandes specialty is to create guitars that combine elements of traditional style with contemporary technique. The result is a group of radical-looking guitars that deliver outstanding performance.
