EVA Airways is a Taiwanese airline based at Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport near Taipei. Founded in 1989, EVA offers scheduled and charter service to 34 domestic and international destinations on four continents.

Taiwan's first private airline, EVA operates a fleet of medium to long-range airliners that includes 17 massive 747 Jumbo jets. Because the flights across the Pacific are generally very long, EVA provides outstanding in-flight entertainment.

EVA is also notable for being the first airline to outfit a plane in Hello Kitty livery. Two Airbus A330s serving Japan are completely kitted in Hello Kitty colors both outside and inside.
