You don't have to be a millionaire to afford eye-catching jewelry. Charles Winston is a leading design house behind gorgeous pieces that (appear to) showcase diamonds, rubies and other precious gems.

To make these elegant pieces affordable, the design house substitutes sterling silver for platinum and gold, but uses rhodium plating to give it the same look. The company also substitutes cubic zirconium for diamonds, but cuts the CZs like fine diamonds. The end result is realistic looking pieces you'd swear were authentic.

Winston, the signature designer behind the company, grew up in the jewelry industry before opening his own manufacturing business in the 1970s.
