Channellock handheld tools are still made in Meadville, Pennsylvania. Since 1886, they are a large manufacturer of all types of pliers: cutting, curved jaw, fence, long nose, insulated, heavy duty, diagonal cutting, linesmen’s, tongue and groove, and rounded nose. They also create screwdrivers, concretor’s nippers, end cutters, slip joints, and other handheld tools.

Many professional plumbers, mechanics, and electrics depend on the Channellock brand for its high quality and durable products. Each tool starts off as high carbon steel rods that are treated uniformly with heat to increase hardness and strength. The tools are milled, drilled, grinded, polished, and filed for the sharpest and most consistent edges before being given their distinctive Channellock blue comfort grips.
