Calvin Klein is a widely-known American fashion designer. His signature brand was launched in 1968 as Calvin Klein Ltd.

The company is best known for their jeans and advertisements that once featured a 15-year-old Brooke Shields and a nude Kate Moss. Calvin Klein also has lines of shoes, belts, sunglasses, scarves, cosmetics, hosiery, furs and sheets. Highly-successful divisions of women's boxer shorts and men's underwear boosted the company's earnings significantly in the 1980s. Klein also gave his name to a watch brand, which Swatch manufacturers under. As well, he had a variety of perfumes, such as cK One and cK Be, which are now owned by Coty Inc.

In 2002, the company was sold to shirt marker Phillips Van Heusen Corp., though Klein is still the company's consulting creative director.
