Bill Blass - available at 7 stores *
Created in 1970, Bill Blass' signature fashion company launched him to the forefront of American glamour with high-class, high-priced items essential for Hollywood's elite.
He provided clothing for women, including sportswear, rainwear, evening wear and accessories; he also had a small line of men's wear, swimwear and children's clothing. In addition, Blass eventually produced airline uniforms, luggage, chocolates, jewelry, fur, bed linens and a variety of fragrances. In the 1980s, Blass hit the peak of his popularity when then-First Lady Nancy Reagan endorsed him as her favorite designer.
After a mild stroke in 1998, Blass sold his company and multitude of licenses for $50 million. He passed away in 2002, though his company and styles live on.
