Becker Knife & Tool - available at 1 store *
Suddenly, Ethan Becker had a brilliant idea. Instead of searching endlessly for 25 years for the perfect big knife, why not just make it from scratch?
His two favorite blades were both long-loved outdoors tools: the kukri, used by the Nepalese Gurkha fighters as a tool and weapon, and WWII survival bolo, based on Indonesian machetes. Combining the two, the "Machax" was born, launching the Becker Knife and Tool Company.
Chief designer for the company since 1980, Becker consults with cutlery and survival experts internationally, to find the most advanced, efficient tactical weapon designs to pursue. Part of the 125-year-old Camillus Cutlery Company, Becker is always staying on the cutting edge with their material usage, finishing, and handle scales.
