Bally Shoes - available at 1 store *

Bally Shoes' eponymous line of shoes has roots deep into Switzerland's past. Carl Franz Bally and his brother took over their father's elastic ribbon and suspender manufacturing plant in 1847.

Carl became engrossed in Parisian footwear on a business trip. Hiring area cobblers, he developed early shoe manufacturing techniques, having them work out of his basement. While handmade, they were the world's first shoes created by division of labor. By the 1870s, the C.F. Bally shoe company had risen to the top of the European market.

Headquartered on Lake Lugiano, close to Milan, the company has redefined itself as one of the premiere global luxury brands. Now owned by the Texas Pacific Group, the company also produces a line of men's and women's ready to wear, totes and shoulder bags.
