More than 10 years ago, in their New York apartment, a young couple gave birth to a revolution in men's shaving. Myriam, an Aromatherapy student, developed a formula for partner, Eric's sensitive skin using botanical ingredients and pure essential oils. The moment he used the pre-shave oil, his entrepreneurial spirit lit up.

In 1996, Myriam and Eric sold their car and opened their first shop, The Art of Shaving, in Manhattan. After the New York Times featured a full page story on the company, their profits skyrocketed. People were pouring in to see what all of the hype was about.

The Art of Shaving now has 17 locations across the United States, and specializes in high-end men's grooming products.
