In the year 1982, Russian musicians faced a challenge, according to AMT Electronics founder Sergei Marichev. The communist takeover limited music equipment production, and only the musicians who were able to travel abroad could get their hands on instruments, microphones and amplifiers. Marchiev, an electronic engineer in the Russian Defense Program, still spent all of his free time practicing with his band.
Eventually Marchiev got his hands on a legendary piece of equipment- the "MINI MOOG" analog synthesizer. He was blow away! Immediately he began his difficult search for materials to make a guitar effect pedal. Marchiev had discovered a way to make replicas of many brands, only better! The rest is history.Marchiev has since been referred to as musical genius. AMT products can now be purchased worldwide.
