From their New York bike shop, Paul Teutul and son Paulie create custom motorcycles under the restraint of tight deadlines. The combination of conflict and creativity originally caught the attention of Discovery Channel producers, and American Choppers is now a hit series on TLC (Discovery's sister station).

American Choppers' premiere on TLC kicked off with an 18-hour marathon in December 2006. Paul Sr. often supervises, while Paul Jr. works alongside fabricators and mechanics to create the superior designs. Most renowned is a bike called the Black Widow Spider.

Aside from crafting bikes for companies like Gillette, Trim-Spa, and Hooters, the characters also let the audience take a glimpse into their leisure activities. Along with cast member Mikey, the crew has gone fishing and snowboarding, when they're not busy with their Orange County Choppers shop.
