Air Malta is the nation's official airline, servicing over 50 destinations in Europe and North Africa. Based at the Malta International Airline in Luqa, Air Malta has been in operation since 1973.

As a protectorate of Britain, the Maltese were predominantly sea-travellers, but with independence, the government set up a national airline. Since that time, the fleet has grown to include 14 modern aircraft.

With the opening of the new International airport in Luqa, Air Malta expanded to include a cargo operation. While they remain a small company, Air Malta takes great pride in servicing its customers with hospitality and a level of service unmatched in the region.
