Formed in 1989 in Boulder, Colorado, Acoustic Junction is a jam band that endured many line-up changes. The main members of the group were multi-instrumentalist Tim Roper, drummer Matt Coconis and bassist Curtis Thompson.
Acoustic Junction's albums Surrounded by Change and Love for What It Is sold more than 50,000 copies (combined). Thanks to their jam packed tour schedule and hard work, the group developed a devoted cult following.
After their two successful albums were released they signed to Capricorn. Acoustic Junction was no longer fitting however because their sound was not "acoustic" in fact. In 1997, one album under the band's new name, Fool's Progress. The group returned back to their roots for the 1999 release of Live 5-4-99.
