A fan of J.M. Barrie and pupil of H.G. Wells, A.A. Milne achieved fame in his own right. Alan Alexander Milne (better known as A.A. Milne) was a noted English author who began writing plays in his early career. However, it was his tales of the loveable and honey-craving bear, Winnie-the-Pooh, for which he is most known.

Keen on experimenting with different genres, A.A. Milne enjoyed challenging himself and his talent. Aside from children's books, he tapped into the realm of poetry. Vespers and King John's Christmas are just two of his several published poems. He has also written The Red House Mystery (a detective story).

A.A. Milne died at the age of 74 on January 31, 1956. Even more than three decades after his death, his literary legacy lives on in the hearts and imagination of children and adults today, showing what an impact he made on his readership.
