5.6.7.8's, The - available at 1 store *

Combine American surf music, garage rock and three lovely Japanese stars and you have yourself the 5.6.7.8's. The band's name was taken from the fact that the all-girl members played music remniscent of the 50s, 60s, 70s and 80s.

Although most of the band's song lyrics were in Japanese, the women frequently played cover hits of American rock and roll classics. The 5.6.7.8's made an appearance in the Quinten Tarrentino flick Kill Bill, where they performed hits like "Woo Hoo," "I Walk Like Jayne Mansfield," and "I'm Blue."

When it came to band positions, each member served the band equally as an instrumentalist and singer. Although most of the group's websites and lyrics are in Japanese, The 5.6.7.8's music is enjoyed by all.
