In 1979, 45 Grave pulled residents of Los Angeles out of the punk rock movement and into edgy deathrock. The band, led by Dinah Cancer, evolved out of industrial band Vox Pop
The band achieved cult stardom in the early 80s with its cover of "Riboflavin Flavored, Non-Carbonated, Poly-Unsaturated Blood," which was originally done by Don Hinson and The Rigamorticians. But 45 Grave didn't release its first-and-only album until 1984.
A year later, 45 Grave split, though they reformed in 1989 for a brief tour before again disbanding. But when the band's 25th anniversary came around, Cancer found a new lineup for 45 Grave, which today continues to tour and rock stages throughout California.
